it’s kinda morally myopic how he’s all like “you lied to me, connor!” and all that. one can’t help but think, dude, you had a kid hostage. however, im thinking, because he’s a PL600, whom are maidbots and nannybots (and only freshly broken his programming), maybe that’s why he places such value on no lying?
because like, lying = bad is something people hammer into kids a lot
its a basic life moral, that’s why we learn it so young. so in his warped state of mind, daniel really thinks lying, even in this situation, is a huge offense
i’m not saying PL600s are mentally like kids, im saying they’d have the morals we teach kids instilled into them, because they’re meant to act as nannies and like, teach ‘em stuff. and androids are “emotional infants” when they wake up
